. THE Champions League Trophy which Liverpool won to keep last seasonhas travelled to London to help sell the region.

Liverpool FC loaned the priceless trophy to tourism and investment body The Mersey Partnership for the Confex International Conference and Exhibition Show at Earl’s Court.

VLM Airlines, which operates the only Liverpool to London air route following the Daily Post’s Fight for a Flight Campaign, was tasked with transporting the Cup safely to London earlier this week.

TMP’s Liverpool and Merseyside stand at Confex features some of the city region’s key conference and exhibition attractions, including Liverpool FC, Aintree Racecourse, Radisson SAS Liverpool, Devonshire House Hotel, Liverpool Arena Convention Centre, and Knowsley Hall.

The company brought over their Fokker F-50 “City of Liverpool” aircraft especially for the occasion and treated the Cup to its own personal seat for the flight.
